Some of you may be aware that Skytrex (who make the Command Decision 15mm range as it's known in the US) have been trying to offload their wargaming ranges for some time. I've just been informed by someone who approached them about buying on of their ranges that he has today received a mail telling him that Stytrex as a whole have gone into administration and all staff are to be made redundant.
They’ve not made an official announcement on their site yet, but all items are set to 'out of stock' with the announcement that a 'Skytrex Stock Clearance Sale Starting Soon' to flog off what's left.
It's unclear yet the moulds are still available. So potentially someone could pick up the moulds and keep producing the 15mm ranges. But it's looks like a 15mm manufacturer has bitten the dust.
I've bought a few of their figures and vehicles in the past and whilst they were never my favorites this is still very sad news.

Agreed sad news. They were useful for some stuff, some was not great - but less choice in the market place is a shame

Shame, I'd actually been thinking in the last couple of days about making some tentative enquiries about acquiring some of their business although I'd heard from others that the asking price had been too steep to make it viable.
Most of the last year there product process have also been set at an uncompetitive level, well above Battlefront's market base standard, so to be honest its not a surprise that they are going under.

They always did seem rather expensive compared to QRF which produce metal stuff like them, even expensive compared to battlefront.
Wonder if the flood of command decision stuff on eBay is anything to do with this.
Still i suppose they may not hold those moulds at such an expensive asking price if they are in administration.

Skytrex's prices have shot up over the last year or two. They used to be a cheap alternative to Battlefront, but they have been one of the most expensive 15mm manufacturers of late. I wonder if it was to do with them trying to sell the ranges off.
Yeah I've heard the prices they wanted for the moulds where ludicrous (I'm informed they wanted 100K for the 15m range) if they are in administration then the prices of the moulds may well drop to a reasonable price.

Sad news. The Command Decision range is also available through Old Glory in the UK http://www.oldgloryuk.com/.
I'm not sure how this affects them, if at all.
