After seeing my brother's awesome scratchbuilt (plasticard) Lucius pattern warhound I got the idea to scratchbuild a titan of my own.
I've always been a fan of the Mars pattern warhounds instead of Lucius patterns, and so I started searching for some papercraft/plasticard plans to build the titan.
Sadly all I've been able to find is plans for the Lucius pattern warhound (which I can understand, as the more boxy shape of the Lucius is easier to replicate), yet I can't help but wonder whether no one out there has any plans for a Mars Pattern Warhound!? So I figured this would be the right place to ask
So if anyone has plans for the Mars Pattern, plus 10 internets for you if you share them
If i can't find any I might just try converting one from the lucius pattern plans, though I figure you can't use much from those plans

I think it's as you surmise - the Lucius pattern lends itself reasonably well, like most boxy Imperial vehicles, to being constructed from flat sheets and layered panels, making patterning relatively simple (if laborious). The compound curves of a Mars Pattern titan just aren't as easy to replicate in card. It can be done, but the kind of forming necessary makes paper patterns less viable.
From what I've seen, the comparatively few scratchbuilders capable of the mechanical forming are generally also capable of abstracting their own patterns, then tweaking them, as necessary (or using different materials, entirely, which themselves aren't well suited to patterning, like carved foam, paper mache, etc.). I've been collecting templates and following build logs for years, now, and I've only seen a handful of Mars Pattern scratchbuilds attempted, never with accompanying templates. I'm afraid what you're after may not exist.

I'm currently building a lucius pattern from plans I found online, never seen any for a mars though.
Have you got any pics of your brothers? Would be great to compare and maybe steal some if his ideas lol

Thats pretty much what I suspected...Might just have to find pics from lots of angles and figure it out for myself (legs could be based on the lucius, then changed to fit the Mars pattern armour plates etc), but the torso, chest and arms might be difficult to do... That is if I decide to just try without any plans hehe xD
Thanks for posting
