Quick question when uploading pictures to the gallery.

I usually upload quite a few WIP and finished pictures, and when I upload a big batch of them I spend a lot of time clicking the radio buttons for the copyright settings to "I own copyright".

Is there a possibility we can make "I own the copyright to the pictures" the default setting, or is it a legal safeguard to have it set to "not mine"?
