I wouldve felt better if you had protected the needle tip when removing the nozzle.
Taking the needle out the front rather than the back is fine, but pull the needle back a little so that its not inside the nozzle when taking off the nozzle. You are just asking for a bent needle tip doing it the way its done in that video.
I was actually horrified when you removed the back, and then went straight for the nozzle without loosening off the needle chuck and pulling it back a little!

Other than that seems like good advice.
