I just purchased 22 grey knight bodies from a friend not sure what to do with them. just planning on using them as allies for now may get more later.

I have
5 old metal bodies
2 old metal bodies with incinerators
2 with psycannon
13 naked bodes

also have a vindicare assassin to go with them
some do have normal power packs and some have the personal teleporter, some have swords on them but they can come off easily enough. I already chopped off the Falchions

I like the idea of Interceptor squads and purifier squads.
I have all the bits
I play most flavors of marines and eldar

What would be the best way to equip them??
what would be the best use for them??

I was thinking of using interceptors Crowe and a small purifier squad to assist my ravenwing
As well as Crow and a big purifier squad in my land raider Crusader I don't really use to assist my Pedro or SW army

I love the models but don't have much idea where to use GK as allies
thanks for the ideas coments and general Dakka fun

Looking at what you have, I'd suggest an allied contingent consisting of 10 interceptors with 2 incinerators, 10 strikes with 2 psycannons (could be used as purifiers, but I find them too expenive these days) and a Brotherhood champion, Crowe or an inquisitor as HQ. Chucking in the vindicare is also doable. Don't have codex handy at the moment, but that should come to around 700-800 points.

Interceptors: Jump Infantry. If you're playing ravenwing, they can keep up but really don't add much unless you use them as an anti-MEQ CC unit. They also have the shunt move. Give them swords and psycannons, the incinerators can be nice too but they are expensive.
Purifiers: Glass cannons. They hit like terminators and die like MEQ. Give them halberds for +2 initiative because it's cheap, and use them for anti-horde.
Strike Squads: Area denial. The best use of strike squads is for warp quake, which will give you a deepstrike-free bubble. They also are generally good due to their weapons, but like all other GK in power armor, they die just as easily as normal space marines. Give them swords and psycannons.

Vindicare Assasin: The best anti-vehicle ranged weapon outside of Apocalypse. But, he's also fragile, and not very mobile.

If you want to use Crowe and use the GK as allies, go the whole hog with the Crowewing approach - put the special weapons into a Purgation squad and have everything else as a Purifier. This gives you a unit with very solid firepower and a few units with very solid close combat strength. It's a small footprint for the points, sure, but you'll have the main force to put more bodies on the field with.

If you want to start using them as a force of their own, then make normal Strike squads because as greyknight12 said, the power-armoured units can all still die as easily as any other Marine - so you want to make your first few units as cheap as you can and worry about special units later.

The Vindicare is a good choice for either approach, but only if you have the points to spare. Be wary where you deploy him as if your opponent isn't wise enough to be gunning for him from turn 1, they soon will be after a couple of shots...

I personally think you should just go with straight strike squads...they have warp quake, they have access to any weapons you want...and they're cheap...oh and when you feel like it they can deepstrike

a dread without autocannons is really only a solid choice if you have a raven for him to go on...then the assault cannon or dual psyflamers look more attractive

As a Ally for Ravenwing, Purifiers with Interceptor support could work well.

Interceptors should have Psycanons and Psybolts, maybe a Hammer for anti-tank if it comes up. They are great at shunting and shooting up rear armor, then using their mobile firepower to mow down other stuff.

I'm afraid the Incinerators are fairly useless. Too expensive for Interceptors and redundant on Purifiers. Purifiers should take psycannons as well because they are cheap and fill a gap.

Crowe, 1-2 units of purifiers, and a full Interceptor unit will be around 700-800 points.
