So in CC if a unit falls back but is blocked on the sides and back by impassible terrain/unfriendly units does that mean it's destroyed since the unit he was assaulting is in front? The BRB says they can move through units involved in the combat so i would assume they can still go forward in order to go backward, but in the example a unit is destroyed from being blocked on the sides and back and having the unit they were in assault with in front.

For that fall back move they may move through the unit they were in combat in, but not afterwards.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

I've wondered about this too. RAW rules don't seem to support the accompanying picture.

You have to fall back, but you are given permission to go around things; including through the unit that was actually assaulting you. The only way I could see of forcing the unit to be destroyed is if the attacker had another unit that wasn't involved in the combat just behind the attacking unit. Thereby closing the noose so to speak.

The picture is fine - there's 3 marine units in it. From top to bottom it goes:

Tac Squad
Assault Squad
Orks
Tac Squad

The orks lost to the Assault Squad so they could move through them, but the 2 tac squads trap them.

Ah. I'm not remembering the picture right. Thanks
