There are so many previous posts debating his stats and how the greatsword affects combat.

Since then this has been faq'd stating a Knight with a greatsword has 4 attacks at strng 10 that can reroll to hit, wound, pen.

But he has 3 attacks base. Where is this extra coming from? The faq says nothing about this being on the charge.

To make this even more confusing for me I calculate the Knight gaining 2 attacks from charging with two doomfists/getting to charge.

Is he 5 charges on the attack on normal initiative or 4? What are his base attacks?

A dreadknight comes with 2 Doomfists. Due to having 2 close combat weapons it gets an extra Attack.

So his base Attacks are 3. He gets +1 for the second doomfist, making it 4.

If he exchanges his greatsword for a doomfist, then he still has 2 close combat weapons. One doomfist, one greatsword so he will still get the +1 for having 2 CCWs. Again, meaning he has 4 normal Attacks.

If he is charging then he gets +1. Meaning he would have 5 Attacks in either situation.

The Greatsword is a strange exception to the normal rule that you may not use the rules of both Melee weapons concurrently. In this case, because of the FAQ, you may have all the special rules of the Fist (Str10) and the Sword (re-roll everything) at the same time!
