Just want to confirm something before I start expanding my army. I read on 3++ that the new Farsight Enclave has its own Allies rules section which states that they have the same allies chart the regular Codex: Tau has, and can also ally with Codex: Tau as battle brothers. Can anyone with the supplemental codex confirm that? If so it definitely opens up a lot of potential choices to be made.

Secondary question: would that go both ways? So can Codex: Tau take an allied Farsight Enclave detachment, or can only Farsight Enclave take and allied Codex: Tau detachment.

Thanks!

Unfortunately Dakka cannot answer this due to copyright infringement laws! You'll have to get the supplement I'm afraid :/

Note to the reader: my username is not arrogance. No, my name is taken from the most excellent of commanders: Lord Castellan Creed, of the Imperial Guar- I mean Astra Militarum - who has a special rule known only as "Tactical Genius"... Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS.

Sorry I was not aware of infringing on any copyright laws with my answer.

But your questions are in the "getting hot" range so take that with a grain of salt.

Hmm alright, thanks guys! Guess I'll have to spend the 40 to figure it out

I think I've got it right though, that they can be allied detachment(s) of one another. Just would rather know that before stocking up on more suits first as you can imagine.

Sorry to cause any issues Toaster/Tactical!

While I cant answer that, I CAN say that 1d4chan article on tau tactics contains a reference to the matter.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

As was stated, this is skirting dangerous territory. While I won't answer your question in full, I will say that Farsight can take Tau allies. As to what level of allies, I will not say.

Easy answer, yes.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Wish I could, Texas is just so far away

Planning out a fun "arms runner/smuggler" army with allied assistance from the Enclaves now. Will certainly make for fun fluff and a potentially nasty army lineup.
