So I bought some dark eldar off my mate for dirt cheap and decided to make a small army as well as use them for allies for my eldar, Basically I want a very fast hardhitting army, not a fan of wyches or other meleeness really

Basically I love the idea of the 3 flyers, and I think them coupled with the raiders for 15 lance shots makes for decent AA/AT, and then the missiles for decimating large infantry units or forcing saves on higher armoured enemies. The kabalites gun down infantry and try to stay alive on objectives, and the reavers turboboost all over the place, maybe using the blasters on a lone vehicle or a low strength heavy weapon team before an assault or such.
The main thing I find difficult about dark eldar is the HQ, I just find that none of the HQs really "mesh" with the army I want to play (fast and ranged) so I went with the cheap haemy for FNP and saving points, I did consider the duke but the points for him make it a bit meh

It looks pretty good. The 9 man warrior squad can't take a splinter cannon(they need 10 bodies) so you can drop this. The other change I would make is to drop the cluster caltrops and just take the blasters. The points you get from this will get night shields on your raiders, which can really use them as the kabbies want to get in and dakka, but not be shot to death back. You can also swing a liquifier gun for your hamey, and some other stuff.
The problem is that your AT is effectively all in reserve, so early on you have 3 dark lances to pop armor. The reavers only want to use the blasters if they have to. Once your fliers come in, then you should be popping tanks and just about anything, but until then your in a bit of trouble.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

aha missed that about 10 guys needed for a splinter cannon, righty then, without that and the caltrops we have night shields! ideal, and yes I was aware of the very weak turn 1, however I may just attempt to play a very conservative turn 1, staying out of LoS and range (better thanks to these lovely new night shields) and then hope atleast 2 of my fliers zoom in. In 1500 games I may take a small eldar contingent of some windriders and an autarch for the stategic genius rule

I like the voidraven bomber better than the fighter - i usually just put a flicker field on it. I would consider taking 2 bombers and a ravager or 2 ravagers and a bomber. If you don't want to take all DE and want to take Farseer on bike to go with hellions and hellion hq then take an eldar flyer and a couple DA or guardians in WS that would be another option. Cheers
