Does Simple Green Remove Primer from Plastic? If so how long does it take? Does is debond glue as well? Does it mar the model in any way?

Yes to primer, generally. The time varies depending upon brand but in my personal experience after 2 hours you can scrub it off, and if you let it sit overnight, it comes off easily. It will not debond glue.

It will not mar the surface of plastic, metal, or any resin I have encountered. I have not tried soaking Finecast in SG.

Gathering the Informations.

Depending on the type of primer, Simple Green can sometimes permanently 'stain' the plastic the color of the primer.

Not always.

GW gaktastic "primer" will wash off like it was nothing

but some primers can permanently stain under the plastic (doesn't effect re-priming over)

Also if you used not primer like an enamel primer, it may not come off as well.

Simple Green will take it off eventually but it takes awhile!
I use this stuff it is amazing and it will not hurt the plastic
I have even used it on Finecast and it did not hurt that either!
Its called L.A's Totally Awesome Cleaner (I know weird name)
but you can get it at dollar stores around the US and if you look on their web site they have a list or retailers that carry it

Simple Green, LA's, all those safe cleaners will work better if you stir the contents every once in awhile. Just give the container (sealed, hopefully) a good jostle every few hours.

Also, keeping the container in a warm location, such as in direct sunlight, will make the stuff work even better. Even primer will slough right off.
