I've often thought it would be neat to enter close combat with my Defiler or Daemon Prince, press a button on the model and have it play a sounds bite. Perhaps a maniacal laugh or say something like "I must break you". Or have the defile play bomb sound byte as it shoots off its cannon.

I've ordered a 10 second recordable sound chip that I'd like to work in to a defiler.

It's only $2.50 so not much risked there. Any ideas on how to work it into the model? AND any suggestions on a good sound clip to use?

I also contemplated this one, it's considerably more expensive but it would be easier to conceal...

Clearly you need to find a Wreck-it-Ralph doll and tear the sound chip out of that.

"I'm gonna wreck it!"

There shouldn't be that much trouble putting a chip in a defiler, it has a pretty big hollow interior with plenty of spots to snake a battery or speaker. I'd say make it so the batteries can be inserted into the rear hatch on the back of it where the grinning demon face usually goes. And put the speaker on top of it, replacing the camera bit. Glue the mask over the speaker.

With a model that big, you could make a large base for it and attach the board on it. And hide all of it in the terrain.

Just leave room for switch to be used and the speaker to be heard. Make sure you cover the speaker enough that it doesn't get damaged in game play. Maybe position it under the lower body of the Defiler.

Test how loud the recording will be too. Using a small speaker you might have trouble hearing it in a loud room.

Good luck.

Some Tomb World in some galaxy by that one thing in that one place (or Minnesota for nosy people)

for the sound byte you could take something that deffy says off of MWG's "Captain Slaughter's Rejects" like one of his lines about shooting pieplates.

"Put your 1st best against you opponents 2nd best, your 2nd best against their 3rd best, and your 3rd best against their 1st best"-Sun Tzu's Art of War

"If your not winning, try a bigger sword! Usually works..."
