Several other unit types now have weapons that fire similarly to a war machine but are not war machines.

Chariots have bows, HE bird chariot has a bolt thrower, OK and Daemons have a chariot with a cannon ( or grapeshot )

Certain monsters like soul grinder and cygor have stone throwers, fire throwers, and more.
Can they have a stand and shoot reaction?

Does a Bolt/Stone Thrower/Cannon allow to stand and shoot? No
Do Bows/ other regular shooting things allow to stand and shoot? Yes

Look for "slow to fire"
If it has that rule then it cannot stand and shoot.

That's my point. Warmachines have the slow to fire and move or fire rules. Monsters and chariots do not.

Warmachines have the slow to fire and move or fire rules. Monsters and chariots do not.

That's wrong here
Weapons that are generally found on warmachines have the slow to fire and move or fire rules
It has nothing to do with the Warmachine status itself
for instance, a Skullcannon is a chariot that "shoots like a cannon with the following profile ...." and that has specifically the "can move and shoot rule"
it's the cannon / stone thrower / .... weapons that have the slow to fire and move or fire rules, not the warmachine unit type

For instance, if you have a Stegadon with a Giant Bow and a Skink Chief with javelins, you can stand & shoot the javelin from the chief but not the Giant Bow (bolt thrower rules)

Hellcannons are monsters and have the slow to fire rule.

Thanks, I think I see now
