Boosting Ultramarine Biker

Hey guys,

I've been wondering about making an Armies on Parade board. It would be fun to enter if a competition came around, otherwise it could be a fun way to display/transport my models.

Couple ideas I had were:

1. Using my proposed Space Marine Army and Aegis Defence Line, make a seige scene between marines and tyranids. This has already been done ad nauseum, I know. But it's convenient because I own both armies. My space marines are unique in that they include several chapters (Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, Death Watch, Aurora Chapter, Genesis Chapter and White Consuls). Their theme is a crusading-type army where numerous chapters have contributed. My Tyranids will have a Leviathan paint scheme.

The marine front line will be behind the Aegis but without squad integrity, signifying a mad rush to the defenses to repel the tyranid attack. It would also look very colorful!

2. Simple- recreate the opening scene to the first Dawn of War; the cutscene between the counter-charging Blood Ravens and Orks. The obvious choice would be to use one of the hilltop Realm of Battle board peices. No doubt it would be cool, but it would require changing paint schemes and collecting Ork models. Not necessarily a bad thing....

Far as I can tell, the counter charing Blood Ravens numbered 12 marines with 1 Heavy Bolter and 1 Dreadnaught. Ork numbers are too difficult to discern in the video scene I used to count the marines. I think 20+ will get the results. I think a good scene would be the moment just before first impact between the two armies, or perhaps one flank already in fresh melee while the other is about to clash into melee. So many ideas...

Thoughts?
