ok, here's my deamon flesh hound spam, it is pretty spamish.

demon prince dok, armor wings, portaglyph, blade of blood.

the hounds thirster prince and skar rush forward, plague bearers deep strike to claim objectives.

It will do more than fine against some opponents, it neglects the major hitters for the army (any Daemon Prince but Khorne plus Fatey+Grimore). The hounds are a top notch unit though screamers might be a bit better since you wont be using the Grimore.

Either way its got a fast hard hitting force that will do a number on people who have never played the new book. The sheer number of doggy wounds will be almost impossible for some lists to dislodge, so yeah its fair to good.

i do understand the.benefits and multipliers gained from fatey. I've used the thirster quite a bit, and have always had great success with him. I've also used the grimmorie on a large 20 count unit of dogs, which was also great.

but i feel going with a mto (jy2® lol) and taking multiple large units of hounds will net better results than one unit getting a 3++.

my main concern is the lack of fates reroll per turn, idk if i can survive without it. going to see how well it does before commiting to him, I'd replace skar and move some points around from the plague bearers if i did.

walker heavy lists also.scare me, but.hopefully handle them with the MCs.

To be fair the army can be competitive without Fateweaver, its just that he is such a no brainier. The guaranteed warlord trait plus a reroll for the Grimore is worth 100 points, tack it on to one of the best targets for that Grimore if you have to absolutely tank a deathstar and your talking silliness.

In a game that increasingly is going back to its roots for randomness anything that is automatic is valuable.

As far as walkers, yeah your list might struggle though your two flyers will handle them without much trouble.
