I've finally decided to get into Fantasy and I'm going with WoC. I want to use predominantly Daemon miniatures to do this, but I want to make sure I'm minimizing any potential confusion for my opponents. I'm not doing this to gain an advantage, I'm doing this to save some cash, and to make a more characterful army for myself. On top of the modeling/painting cues, I'm planning on writing the name of the unit on the front of the movement trays for my opponent.

To that end, I plan on using the following models to represent my units. I'd love to hear your suggestions on what I can do to make things as obvious as possible. I was also considering making up some laminated cards with pictures of the units from my opponent's point of view, and listing what each represents, in order to make it as easy as possible. What are your thoughts on facing an army like this in a competitive environment?

Daemon Prince of Nurgle - winged Plaguedaemon from ultraforge - http://www.ultraforgeminiatures.com/?page_id=34
I don't think this guy will require much explanation. He fits the role fairly well.

Throgg - Irongut with great weapon from OK with some chaos spawn bits.
I'm planning on painting him green and making his weapons / armor look rusted.

Exalted Hero - Standard bearer from Chaos Knights box.
This guy will be my BSB and is mounted on a Daemonic Mount.

Chaos Sorc on Disc - Back half of the Herald of Tzeentch on burning chariot
Tzeentch sorc on disc. Not too much of a stretch here.

Chaos Trolls - OK Ogres with chaos spawn bits, musician modeled vomitting
Like Throgg above, models with be green with rusted armor, and I'm planning on making the vomit as obvious as possible.

Marauder Horsemen - Seekers of Slaanesh (or marauder horsemen)
These guys have the MoS. I want to equip them with flails and javelins which I can't do using the regular Seeker models. If there's much contention here, I'll use regular marauder models.

Chaos Chaiots - Seeker chariot of Slaanesh
These are also marked with MoS.

Skullcrushers - Chaos knights
I'm planning on modeling them all on appropriate sized bases, and giving them some additional height to make them look more dramatic and imposing.

TL : DR - Shorthand for ""Hi, I am a miserable cretin of the Internet that must be spoon-fed pictures and factoids or I will piss myself."

The only thing I might even remotely balk at might be the Skullcrushers. I think you are fine with your conversion concepts to play most reasonable people.

Yeah i'd play you so long as everything before mentioned was said.

Probably looks great on the table too.

I've sold so many armies. :(

If you want deamonic mount instead of chaos steed for your BsB you are going to need a bigger base.
¨50mm square base¨

With the BSB, if you get him a bigger base and then use some basic converting to make it stand out as a hero and not just a chaos knight, it will be widely accepted.

I would suggest putting chaos warriors on the chariot... because daemonette does not look anything like a chaos warrior... And with the blood crushers, it will look like a proxy and I know a lot of people would get tired of that a lot, so again work with conversions.

Basically, go wild with conversions to make things at least appear that they could live up to the reputation of the stuf they are pretending to be, and you should be fine
