So I'm thinking of getting into Warmchine and I've decided if I do start it I'll go for Menoth. So I was looking at the Warcaster models and I've settled on Thyra Flame of Sorrow, The High Reclaimer or Feora Protector of the flame based on the models. So my question are any of these three Op or UP as I'm not really a competitive player and I'd rather have a model which is more fun to play with.

Thanks

In my experience Thyra is UP, while PFeora ( being the first incarnation of her) is ok. Same with the High reclaimer. The OP menoth casters, in my humble opinion, is PSeverius, the Harbinger and EFeora.

Of those three I'd go with High Reclaimer. I thought he was awesome ever since I read that intro story in the Prime book. Stryker? Please...

Thyra is amazing, with the correct build. pFeora is ok, shes not amazing and so doesn't see much play. The High Reclaimer is also difficult to use like Thyra.

All three can still be good, its just tougher than other casters. Nothing is OP or UP(except for Cleansers, which are turds), just more difficult/easier to use.

I've seen Thyra tier lists basically control the board by turn 2 and win by assassination on turn 3. Very brutal in the right hands.

That makes me very sad. An entire squad of fire immune people with flamethrowers would have made me very happy. I'd make it a point for the squad to catch itself in its own spray attacks, just because it could.

The problem is very poor rat. They can barely hit themselves half the time, let alone other more nimble opponents. Even Def13 is only hit 38% of the time.

Plus their UA actually makes them worse.

gian is talking about Feora, Protector of the Flame, and she is a
solid warcaster. Take a Reckoner, some other ranged 'jack to
bond her with, and go from there.

(Priestess is the prime version, Protector is the epic)

O'yeah. Epic Feora is awesome, one of our main tournament casters.

Although most people bond her to a Judicator.

Yeah, but if you're just starting out, you could bond her to a Redeemer if you don't feel like dropping cash on a Judy.
