Subject: 2000 Point Lizardmen List (bit of a monster mash)

Cold-Blooded Saurus Warrior
|
Saurus Oldblood (Spear, Ironcurse Icon, Enchanted Shield, Carnosaur w/Blood Roar, Loping Stride)
Tetto'Eko
Scar-Veteran (Carnosaur w/Loping Stride)
20 Saurus Warriors (Full Command)
24 Skink Cohorts (Full Command, 2 Kroxigors)
5 Chameleon Skinks
5 Chameleon Skinks
5 Chameleon Skinks
Bastiladon (Solar Engine)
Ancient Stegadon (Unstoppable Stampede)
RANDOM NOTES:
I cut getting many magic items on the Oldblood for extra Special/Rare points. Tetto and a Scar Vet Carno is exactly 500, as is those two core units. I would've got 2 Saurus units but I need a bunker for Tetto. I love chameleon skinks... who doesn't?
I prefer the Solar Engine to the Ark, and I gave the Ancient Stegadon unstoppable stampede because I had 10 points to spend... I wish I could've gotten sharpened horns but the points just didn't align.
I would've gotten two Ancient Stegadons rather than 1 Bastiladon, 1 Steggy if I could have but I didn't have enough points.
I'm a bit scared of redirectors (predatory fighter.) I could've gotten some Razordons/Terradons but those are pretty expensive and ya know... I think I'll be fine.

To be fair if you're afraid of redirectors....I'd say drop a Carnosaur and invest in a couple of Skink priests. That way you can keep them near the Saurus cohort and have a few more spells and channels to throw out. That and you could make these Priests Beast priests just to throw buffs onto the Skink cohort and boost their javelins. Plus with a Carnosaur, Stegadon and Bastiladon you have prime targets for some of the beast spells which will be a bit easier to cast.
One Carnosaur is worrying enough to be honest and with Blood Roar he'll pretty much just break the line if you throw him at a unit at the outskirts and work your way up the flank.
Unstoppable Stampede doesn't seem worth it to be honest. You're paying points for an extra attack on the charge. I'd much rather have the sharpened horns for multi-wound impact hits, especially since the Ancient Steg's hits are higher strength to begin with. It's a nice cover for any unexpected Troll/Ogre/Mino hordes or any large Monstrous Cav blocks.
Also don't forget that impact hits don't care about initiative order so it's a good way to get a few kills in for combat res in advance.

I think fielding skink priests at all is a terrible idea, especially alone. Just IMO.
I'd rather have two awesome Carnosaurs than one, lol.
Unstoppable Stampede isn't worth it, but where else do I put 10 points... I'd rather that than investing in more core. I would also rather sharpened horns... but I don't have enough points to spend on it.

To be honest, Skink Priests are all about positioning. Don't forget that Predatory Fighters is going to affect that Skink Cohort as well thanks to the Kroxigor.
Might want to consider that as currently all you have which can keep anything in control is Tetto and should he miscast he has a very high chance of squishing himself. Bear in mind he's also only level 2 so dispelling is going to be a bit of a challenge.

Naa, Tetto Eko's in the unit. They won't suffer at the hands of that horrible special rule.
