Hi everyone.

A buddy picked up a steal for me today at a local game shops hosted trade day where folks buy, sell and barter their minis.

I got the following dirt dirt cheap

1 hive tyrant
40 hormoguants
22 gene stealers
12 warriors
1 brood lord
4 carnifex

I think it's a great start and wondering what to add. I don't own the current dex and don't plan on buying. I do plan on buying the rumored new dex and know waiting to buy more models until it comes out is best but what are some tried and true units for you veteran nids?

I play usually against eldar, chaos marine of Slaanesh and Dark Angel.

Well, tried and true units now don't mean anything for the new dex. If you are planning on waiting until then, there's not much we can advise... however, it is highly likely that Flyrants will be good in the next edition. But, I'd reccomend trying to magnetize the MCs. I'd also recommend buying some termagants.

Add an even bigger bug like a Trygon or Tyrranofex, those dudes look cool and menacing

I probably will getting a used copy. I'm more of a fluff rather than competitive player. Plus I go for model look. I like the venomthrope.
