Just wondering which, if any of the Ork named characters find a use in your army.

I've been looking at Grotsnik in particular as a way to make MegaNobz tougher with invulnerable saves. But he's just so expensive and not all that great aside from the cybork power. I was thinking perhaps he could be stuck in a fat blob of gretchin or boyz and turned into the perfect tarpit. Not sure if thats worth it or not

ive used Grotsnik a few times but i find it more of a joke than viability since that strat falls apart if your opponent has any kind of movement.

The only named character i use often (aside from Ghazzy i mean) is Snikrot because thats hilarious to see your opponent's reaction when a Meganob Boss or Ghazzy appears right behind their forces. Even if he cant charge that turn its deadly because its pretty damn hard to remove and sends your opponent into a panic.

If you want to add FNP to a unit it might be better to ally in a painboss from the Dread mob list. You don't get the invulsave upgrade option but its cheaper and you avoid him getting kited.

If you want an all bike list, Wazdakka is kewl.
Otherwise, Ghazzy replaces a Megaboss in big games.

The problem with a painboss is that he cannot ride in a transport from your primary detachment.

To put him with anything that matters, you've got to run it on foot or have it be something from the dread mob list - a list not known for quality infantry.
