Some Tomb World in some galaxy by that one thing in that one place (or Minnesota for nosy people)

I'm fairly new to WHFB despite having a ton of models for the game.

Anyways here's the list

Lords
Grey Seer
Enchanted Shield

Heroes
Chieftan
Enchanted Shield
Seed of Rebirth
Weeping Blade

Warlock Engineer (taking warp lightning)
Level 1
Warplock Pistol
Warp Energy Condenser
2 Warpstone Tokens

Core
40 Clanrats
Shields
Standard Bearer
Musician
Plague Wind Mortar

20 Clanrats
Shields
Standard Bearer
Musician
Warpfire Thrower

Special
2 Rat Ogres
Master Bred
Packmaster

I'm mostly just working with what models I have available. I do have a suitable proxy for a warp lightning cannon if needed but other then that these are all WYSIWYG models.

I plan to toss the grey seer and chieftan in the block of 40 amd march them up to distract the enemy while the group of 20 with the engineer goes up on flank and the ogres go up the other. My only real opponent that I can play regularly is a VC player but there are a few players at a GW store near me that play many other races.

Just outside the gates of hell

What kind of play do you prefer?
are you looking for a crushing tournament style list or just something more friendly?
You're going to get a lot of advice about getting a hell pit abomination and/or the doomwheel and the lightning cannon.

I don't think the seer can take the shield because casters can't take armour.
You can only have 1 enchanted shield in your army. You can't duplicate magic items with a few exceptions from the scavenge pile.
It will be suggested that you turn your chieftain into a battle standard bearer with either the storm banner or the standard of discipline.
You can save points to get the banner by taking slaves or dropping the mortar.
Though tricky and terribly random you'll get far better results from the warpfire thrower.
I would definitely add the cannon it will give you something to hit big tough things with
It looks as if you pretty much have the island of blood miniatures...do you have anything else to add?

Currently I am looking for the best loadout with my models to have a friendly game against VC. Any ideas as to how to expand upon my army would be fantastic since all I have is what you see on the list.

I didn't bother with the stormbanner since the VC player that I know uses little to no shooting which would render the banner useless.

I was using battlescribe to make this list I guess it needs to be edited a bit since it didn't catch that I had 2 enchanted shields and my grey seer had the option to take magic armour

You only really ever need one unit of clanrats as a character bunker and are better off with skavenslaves (find some dime a dozen models within the correct size range to use). The big problem I am seeing is that past the grey seer you do not have much to deal with high armor threats and definitely need at least a wlc. You might also consider throwing in a doom wheel.

Personally I dislike rat ogres, so if you need a place to get points (other than switching some clanrats to skavenslaves) I would suggest dropping them,

I mostly play against vampire counts, warriors and daemons of chaos.

If those are the models you have there isn't much more you can do but go with it.

You can always get another island of blood to help with models. Or use eBay if you're on a budget.

The storm banner also stops flyers which can slow your opponent down.

Ok so swap the small block of clanrats for a big block of slaves and swap ogres for a wlc

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I just picked up a few more models for my skaven so now I can pretty much field anything thanks to ebay

After reading the comments I'm thinking something like this.

Lords
Grey Seer
Seed of Rebirth

Heroes
Chieftan
BSB
Biting Blade
Poisoned Attacks

Warlock Engineer (taking warp lightning)
Warp Energy Condeser
Level 1
Warplock Pistol
2 Warpstone Tokens

CORE
40 Clanrats
Shields
Standard Bearer
Musician
Poisoned Wind Mortar

40 Slaves
Shields

Special
5 Gutter Runners
Hand Weapon and Snare Net
Slings
Poison Attacks

Rare
Warp Lightning Cannon

Does this look better?

Looks pretty good.
I'd still take a warp fire thrower over the mortar just for additional damage to bigger things.
You might want to give the standard bearer a ward or better armor.
Let us know how your first game goes

Ok I might swap poisoned attacks for a enchanted shield and upgrade that mortar to a warpfire thrower. I will have to see how it plays out
