You are both rational and emotional. You value creation and discovery, and feel strongly about what I create. At best, you're innovative and intuitive. At worst, you're scattered and unpredictable.

I played a large battle a few months ago, cant remember how many points, but I had 5k Imperial Guard (Tank Company and hundreds of troops, 3 superheavies and a few other bits), turn 2 the opponents blew up our only titan, of course it was a huge explosion, and the table we were on was long and narrow, end result being that I went from 5k to 3 Leman Russ with no turrets, 2 heavy weapon bases, and a sentinel!
However all was saved when the Ultramarine First Company (all terminators) came in by outflank in their land raiders and won the game!

In my last game, the Transcendent C'tan absolutely wrecked face. Imotekh's artificial storm caused night fight which pretty much stopped the Ork/Eldar/Space Marine alliance against me from firing Str D weapons at all. In return, the C'tan melted 2 Wraithknights by jumping over them, withered almost all of the Phoenix Court into dust and slew an Ork biker deathstar. Eventually a vortex grenade followed by a charge from the Ultramarine high command took down the C'tan, only for the resultant explosion to kill everything in that squad barring Calgar. I then spent 1 VP to bring him back and kill an Aquilla Strongpoint and about 20 marines before the game ended. The lesson learnt there was never let the Transcendent C'tan come near you - not too tough at range, utterly devastating up close.

In the same game, the Tau on my side were really struggling for most of the game. They had an army in a Manta plus a Farsight Deathstar which couldn't enter as there was no space. For 3 turns, our side was about 6000 points weaker than our opponents (which, on the grounds it was 20k a side was pretty substantial). Eventually, enough things died to bring in the Farsight Deathstar. They managed to kill 2 super heavies in one turn but then 2 Lynx's turned and fired. As the unit was still fairly clumped together so it could enter at all, the relief that got our sides was somewhat short lived. However, that had just about cleared the area for the Manta, which came in and mowed down everything it could see before dropping off an army. We still lost but only by 1 VP - we should have won by 2, but didn't see a single space marine scout contesting an objective midfield. That's just how it goes sometimes I guess. Still, it was very fun to see.

That pretty much sums up what Apocalypse games should be.

My commander Farsight survived 2 of those str D apoc sized blasts, a hammerhead exploding next to him, the flame template from The Lord of skulls. All on his 4+ invuln. All after they used all their other assets on me instead of my team mate.( I destroyed too much and had to be silenced as cheap as it was) Farsight was ended by some sort of regular attack, but he took over 1500pts worth of Dakka.

Plus the battle had 2v2 Tau and space wolves VS Daemons and dark angels. 5000pts each.

I'm pretty sure you can't take invuln saves vs D-weapons.

Alaitoc Eldar: 5000p

Vampire Counts: 3000p

Death Korps of Krieg: 7000p

Jupp no saves of any kind Even including FNP! States so in the Apoc book.

Probably a house rule.

So here's my apocalypse story:

The local GW ran a release day event. At this point, they were still on only allowing demo games on their tables, no walk-ins with armies to play with.

Two people turned up that didn't get turned away. The policy was revoked.

I collect:
Guard - 2k of mostly infantry
DA - 2k of deathwing, 2k of other bits (no vehicles)
Sisters - mostly converted/proxy because I'm waiting for therange to go plastic.
Tau - 2k with no riptides because I can.
