HQ

280 Wolf Lord (mount, TH/SS, SOB, Runic Armor, 2x fenrisian wolves)

100 Runepriest (divination)

TROOPS

195 10 x GH (2 plasma, Pod)

195 10 x GH (2 plasma, Pod)

190 10 x GH (2 melta, Pod)

FAST ATTACK

255 4 x TWC ( 1 x SS, 1x PF)

HEAVY SUPPORT

140 6x LF (5 x ML)

85 1 x Predator (AC, HB sponsors)

60 1 x Predator just with AC

TACTICS

GH go alpha strike with either 2 pods of plasma or a pod with melta and a pod with plasma if needed. The thunderwolves follow the pods with the lord ready for carnage. The runepriest joins long fangs for rerollable missiles. Now i chose to use two predator because are touch to crack with 13 front armor and with 145 points i get 4 autocannon shots and 6 heavy bolter shots. I could use one more squad of long fangs but i prefer to mix tanks with infantry and not go all infantry or all tanks for heavy support beacause it will be more difficult for my opponent to deal with both tanks and infantry as heavy support

Here's the thing : The three GH squads in drop pods are great for alpha striking. The predators and TWC are a good combination too. But when you put those together, I don't think they jive well.

Suppose you go second. Your opponents whole army is going to open up on your TWC and regardless of storm shields, their going to be severely hurt or outright dead.

On the other hand, if you go first you still only have 2 pods landing. Obviously, it's still better than going second but I wonder if 2 pods is enough to really survive the return fire.

So my recommendation would be to EITHER put your GH squads in Rhinos OR trade in your wolf lord and TWC for more dudes in pods. At least that way the cavalry can hide behind Rhinos for the first turn.

Your second pred would benefit well from sponsons if you keep it. I agree with grug that your list is a bit divided though.

Not a fan of special weapons on thunderwolves. You have rending and a ton of decent S attacks stock, why pay more for a fist that drops you to I1? Obviously helps against TEQ, but with sheer numbers you can rend some, and with pod plasma and such mass TEQ will drop.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

What if you deployed the 3rd squad out of the pod and set them up (plasma i'm guessing) along the line for grabbing some close by obj. That way what's alpha striking can set up in an in-your-face gunline and wait for the cavalry (literally) to arrive
