I have collected a ton of Horrorclix models over the years and recently found out my FLGS can order two of the limited edition boxed sets. There is a pretty healthy Heroclix following at this same store. I wanted to know if anyone out there was familiar enough with both systems to know if it is easy to pick up the Horrorclix rules if one is familiar with Heroclix. I know there are some unique mechanics to the game, like plot twists and victims, but that's all I know.

Any information would be appreciated!

Heroclix are Horrorclix are good play systems, because they use a color guide to show you what abilities the character do. The new sculps looks much better now.

The downside is every 2 or 3 years they change the version of the rules and stats making your minis old and almost useless against the new ones.

You can read this post for more info about old Heroclix:

Besides Plot twists, Victims, and hourglasses, the base mechanics are pretty much the same. The dials are organized the same way with speed, attack, defense, and damage values. Both systems rely heavily on the character cards to know what abilities/certain powers do. I am sure that if you are comfortable with the action & combat system of heroclix than you can pick up horrorclix (namely the unique points of that system).
I'll wait for Boogy Man to give a more detailed break-down.
