I want to do an Ork army. I want to either make Green Tide or Boyz in Battlewagons with deffrollas. I don't have battle wagons though. Here is my list for green tide 1850 points.


HQ: Warboss w/pk and shoota/skorcha=90points
Big Mek w/ Burna and shoota/skorcha=60 points


Elites: 2 squads of 10 lootas each=300 points
4 Mega Nobz each with shoota/skorcha in a trukk with the warboss and Big Mek=140 points(without the trukk)


Troops: 5 squads of 30 boyz each all with shootas. Each containg a nob w/pk and 3 big shootas=1220


Dedicated Transport: Trukk=35 points

My advice would be to give your Warboss megaarmor and an attack squig.

big mek is the same as a Nob without a KFF or a SAG - I know you will want to use him for repairs but I have found that he is just not worth it. Might as well take another Meganob and take that as the 6th Troop instead of elite - that way they are a scoring unit. I would take a second warboss w/pk and attack squig.

For your Boyz, the Nob w/pk always seems like a good idea, but on the battlefield you will probably never use it. a squad of 27 Boyz with shootas and 3 Big Shootas, will lay down fire, not give them a target, can not be challenged and has the same LD for 35 pts less - which can be better spent elsewhere.

a single trukk is just not worth it, it's simply a waste of points for nothing.

Not going to comment on the usefulness, but how are you getting a Trukk? Lootas and Meganobz don't have the option, and Boyz can only take it at 12 or less models.
