Competitive list I am considering that is vastly different from anything I've tried before. The idea is the farseers with the dragons rolling Divination first and hoping for perfect timing but making use of most of what is possible to roll. Between rerolls to hit and ignores cover they should delete units pretty easily. The Nightspinners are to shred anything dumped from slagged transports with two nightspinners able to rush forward and shotgun vulnerable infantry.

I really like the Night spinners.
This seems like a very aggressive list. Are you playing it that way?

Yes my thought was to play it very aggressively a sort of serpent rush.

Very aggressive in your face list. 20 fire dragons is serious.
A few tips on the farseer. You might want to consider singing spears to add more high S shots from the squad. Lacks the Ap, but it pretty deadly in its own right. Alternatively, go for telekinesis to get psychic shriek for extra killing power.
The Crystal targeting matrices are nice for that early game flat out and blast, but they are still expensive and you might never get to use them. Shame you can't put them on all 3. If you drop them you could free up points to turn 5 avengers into 10 guardians for more dakka late game.
Another idea is to use spiritseers instead of farseers. You lose out on TL melta, but you have the potential for 2+ armor dragons, shrouded dragons and once again you get psychic shriek for extra killy damage.

Thanks for the advice,
I was thinking of dropping the 3rd Nightspinner. It'd open up thr points upgrade all of the troops to 10 man avengers squads or guadian squads with a scatter platform. The troops are where I am most uncertain.
I've given spiritseers some thought, I even gave Eldrad some thought. My main focus is Divination so I know I need at least 1 seer. Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually if I drop the 3rd Nightspinner I can get 3 x 10 Guardians in a serpent as above with 2x fusion guns and hit 2k.

Another thing to consider may be an Autarch on a jetbike as a diversion unit. Your entire army goes one way, and the autarch goes the other way. He looks pretty tasty and your opponent takes units away from your main army to focus on the autarch. Meanwhile your army munches the opposing army in front of them, then swings over to finish off whatever went after the autarch. Automatically Appended Next Post: something like (Autarch, jetbike, fusion gun, laser lance, mantle) for 145 points.
