For CSM I know that a Daemon Prince must generate at least 1 of his powers from the designated chaos god in which he represents...

But do the units from Codex : Daemons have to do the same thing?

If anyone can tell me a page I would love to see this... Otherwise I would like to roll for my Great Unclean One to take 3 on Biomancy.

The two armies are...well, two different armies, with different rules for each.
Chaos Marine DPs have different rules than Daemon DPs.

It's pretty clearly stated in the Daemon book how to choose Psychic Disciplines....
If you haven't yet bought the book and are wondering whether you'd like to....let me encourage you to go out and do so immediately!

Agreed, it's in the book and is quite clear. You want the page that the psychic disciplines themselves are on, just before the colour section.
From memory, it works pretty damn similar to Chaos Marines.
