Do you really think that the Standard is necessary with this list?

You're paying a premium to get it for the 3x Raiders.

As much as I used to love 5+ Razorbacks in 5e I think you'll have a really hard time vs Eldar & Tau because you have so many points tied up in those units.

Have you considered using scouts with bolters?

I just love how everyone hates on the dakka banner....I mean people....
72 bolter shots is better than 36 anyday, and it also works on my normal marines too not really bs 3 just doesn't do it for me and the razorbacks would be shielded from LRCS with a 4++ so id say they get a 3+(or 4+ if they really want to fight over a game) for sight problems on the enemy...

My only concern would be is it enough punch to a tau gunline?

Well a couple things.

Did you see this article about the wave serpent from last month? it's really well articulated and i think accurately depicts how capable a single serpent can be. That's not to suggest it's a bad inclusion, but if you run up against an eldar player who takes 5+ serpents, it's kind of a hard counter to your list.

Then the Wraithknights or Fire dragons will just munch the Raider. I definitely love assault cannon razors though (I have 6x myself). I just think in a competitive setting the list you've presented will struggle against some of the current meta.

As far as Tau goes, AV14 will be pretty hard for most Tau to deal with. That said, most lists will run 1 or 2x Riptides and their S9 AP2 Ordnance can fire, and scatter with ignores cover off of the Raider and blow up both a Raider and a Razor.

My personal recommendation? Anything more than 2 puts you in a Rock Paper Scissor format. If that's okay with you... go for it. Otherwise you're going to hit some hard counters depending on your draw.

Yes the standard is, it doubles my fire power for only 65 points witch is a bargain. nowhere else in the codex(any codex) can you find 36 bolter shots for 65 points.

My only question are the razorbacks actually needed would the points be better spent somewhere else?
I was wanting to add a techmarine with servitors In there to repair things on a 2+ but no idea where id find the points

Also even ignoring cover doesn't do much because ill still have a 4++

I thought it was vanilla space marines until I read down to the deathwing crusader.

Maybe you should say that it's a Dark Angel list and how many points somewhere near the top or in the title.

I love this idea. I'd play it if I ran DA. However the razorback spam doesn't work well anymore.

True, and it will certainly play well against some armies, while others I think will handle it fairly easy.

It's really up to how you want the army to play. If you want a "rock, paper, scissor" army this is definitely it.
With regards to the 4++ I think that is better spent on buffing 1 or 2 LRC.
Here's the math from a single serpent

They have 4x S6 TL BS4, that if one hits, the D6+1 S7 shots and the 3x S6 BS4 shots are all twin-linked as well. So a single serpent is looking at roughly 6x S6 hits @ 30" threat and roughly 4x S7 hits at 66" threat.

So that ends up being 2x Glances and 2x Pens. Statistically you'll take a 2x HP and whatever happens from the Pen (unlikely it's wrecked).

What strategy are going for with your Librarian? Does he need the 2nd Mastery Level? What about dropping the bike altogether and having him ride around inside a LRC with the banner?

From an equipment standpoint I really like 6x Black Knight Ravenwing. Granted they're pricey for W1 models but with Scout, TL Rapid Fire Plasma, Rad & Stasis Grenadesand Rending they offer a lot of flexibility for taking on a lot of units. They're a very flexible TAAC unit as they'll do well against Tau specifically if you run multiples in MSU. Instant death to suits (as the suits will be T3) and easier wounds on Riptides (T5 vs S7) and then Rending in CC.

You could drop the bike + ML2 from the Librarian which would save you 55pts. Sticking him in the LRC will end up expanding your 4++ bubble as well. Just some suggestions. My play style is different though as I prefer more variety

I think the Banner of Devastation is a great idea. It's got a 24" bubble correct? That's going to be a TON of bolter shells. I like it. Orks and Nids are going to be in deep doo-doo.

1) I like the idea of 3 Land Raiders, I just wish you could put something assaulty in them.
2) Why is the Librarian on a bike when you have no other bikes in your army?
3) I'm a little concerned about the lack of high strength weapons in your army. Three multi-meltas and one powerfist, is probably a little light. You'll have trouble with IG armor companies and anything else that spams AV13+.
4) You have enough scoring units, but they are all fragile. Just as you can put space marine squads down with massed bolter fire, your 5 man squads will get pulverized too.

EDIT : I totally forgot about flyers too. You don't have any anti-aircraft. You'll get pwned by the Necron air force. Most lists would though so maybe it doesn't matter.

Im in the process of editing this list taking out the razorbacks, the bubble is only 6" unfortunately which is still big enough for the LRCS, with 3 LRCS i will proably just ignore the flyers and kill their troops and grab whatever objectives i can but hey no reason for me to not try and shoot a few down in the process.

Anti Air ..well from the sheer volume of Str 7 snapfire you can generate I would not sweat any Airpower ...they will Glance to death quick and easy ..

Lol ... was just about to post my Tri-Raider like up for review - 1500pt tri though

the razorspam gives a nice MSU feel to the tri-raider list, depending on what comps you come up with it will be really good or really bad .... I would think more on the up side since most people won't expect it.

personally I like to take 3 man ravenwing squads with 2 melta guns each for popping armor - and taking 10 man tact squads inside LRCs to disembark and add more dakka / melee shield.

The problem I think you might have are people popping your razorbacks early then your left with 5 man tact squads w/o special weapons foot slogging.

I made another list a vet from my gaming group told me the razorbacks would get chewed up easy, im just not sure and frankly I don't want to spend the money on something Im just going to trash lol...
I may play test it once I get the LRCS but I made another tri raider list with a counter assault unit of assault marines and a chaplain using MoR and changed the libby to a jump pack dude.
Only thing was after the LRCS and assault squad that was pretty much the entire army making them all 10 man...I kind of like this list personally the only thing I think it lacks is a counter assault unit which I could clear points by dropping some razors but still not sure yet any thoughts on it?

Why not take 3 Land Raiders and fill them with Deathwing Terminators?

I think that would be scary, but you'd need to find a way to deal with aircraft. Necron airforce ruins your day.

What does the necron air force have for dealing with av 14?

Does not work, the bubble is FAQed to only effect the unit in the embarked transport and the unit on board. Hence the PFG on the bike.
