Nimble Skeleton Charioteer

Hey all. I'm looking to get a Tomb Kings army up and running. I have the old Army Box from 2005 or whenever (back when they came with a codex).
I'd like to flesh these guys out, but I'm not paying what GW is asking. So I need some good alternate choices.
Thanks!

I have 90 of these guys, and I can tell you that they're awesome models. Both better looking than their GW counterparts (save the VC skeletons), and for a fraction of the price.
The only thing I'll warn you is that they are quite fragile. The heads especially tend to break quite frequently, so I've had to drill into each torso piece to give the neck joint a firmer anchor. Makes them fiddly to put together, but still absolutely worth it.
I'm scratch-building my second casket out of plasticard and it's coming along quite nicely, so that's definitely something you can do as well.
Reaper also has a number of great models that you could use instead of GW priests/princes. Their bone giant is great as well.
And for the carrion, I've seen people use some 40k birds instead. Razorbirds, or something? Not sure what army they're from, but they come 3 to a stand from GW, and if you buy a couple packs and split them 1-2 to a base they'll be significantly cheaper than the bs $1-per-point GW carrion.

Dark Eldar Razorwings: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440235a&prodId=prod1630054a Considerably smaller than the Carrion models, and not that much cheaper IMO.

They're $20 CAD for a base of 4. That's $60 for 12 razorwings, which you could spread across 6 monster bases at 2 per base. Compare that to GW carrion that are $62.50 CAD for 3.
And yes, the WGF skeletons are pretty awesome. They're a little finicky and flimsy, but there are ways to mitigate that. You can see pictures of what they look like on my project log on the TK boards here.

Mantic do a good range of undead figures, cheap too:

They do some rather nice mummies to:
http://www.shrewsburywargaming.co.uk/ourshop/prod_2863961-Undead-Mummies-10-Figures.html
I use Mantic undead for my vampire counts army, and the figures have great detail for the price, doesn't cost the earth to get a full army

Amazingly not a cheaper option, but if you're interested in adding some texture and flavour to your tomb kings range, theres some pretty amazing Wargods of Aegyptus models you can get
