Hi,

First list with the new eldar codex, and focusing on scoring units. As I gather, even the Wraithlord is scoring with a spiritseer?

This list is for friendly tournament - take on any enemy - approach. Do not know what I will be facing except Orks and SM.

Plan is to attach farseer to dire avengers and march together with wraithlord to contest an objective. Together they can hurt both troops/horde and armor. But I expect most of this block to die.. Guardians and rangers hang back in as much cover as possible and try to take my home objectives. Bikes in reserve to contest or break line at end. Serpent and falcon take out transports and try to unload wraithguard and dragons to take out hardest hitting enemy units. Sure, the units are all fragile but with some boosts from magic, some cover and some careful combining - will it work? Hopefully wraithlord and two skimmer tanks will soak up a lot of shooting. If not, what type of army will I struggle against?

PS. Note that I have absolutely no CC unit in this list.. Have both scorps, banshees and harlies in my collection. DS

Um wraith lords arnt scoring unless there in big guns never tire, the wraith gaurd are tho.

Exchange falcon for another wave serpents, as they are better.
Fire dragons are just so expensive now for what they do, sticking with dual lances is generally better.

Run dire avengers plain or with sheild and sword.

I do drugs.
Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine.

Most my advice is min max stuff you'l need to trade points here and there to find a good combination

spiritseer
5 wraithguard
wave serpent, TL bright lance

Do you have the wave serpent yet? if not build with SL and SC. Holofields are nice

Farseer, singing spear

Can't go wrong here maybe add jetbike and add to windrider squad?

10 dire avengers exarch, twin cats

Cant go wrong here exarch not really needed

10 guardians scatter laser

May I suggest in a footdar list to go with blob squad of 15-20 defenders and 1-2 weapons and a warlock. I field it frequently and do very well. If you go this route put footseer here. need more beef on weapon lose SL and take something else

3 windrider jetbikes 1 cannon

with a small unit you may see them disappear quickly

5 rangers

Meh?!

wraithlord, 2 flamers, scatter laser + bright lance

Weapon overload he is too big a target for high strength and low AP shots just because he has all those weapon slots doen't mean you need to fill them. Im not a big fan of these guys, so many other units to consider: Warp Spiders, Dark Reapers, and War Walkers

5 fire dragons
Falcon, scatter laser, spirit stones

Good combo however big target maybe add holofields I agree with Ninjafiredragon Wave serpent is better

Sorry, read that sloppily. You are right, Wraithguard are scoring.

Agreed, WG seem more worth it than Fire dragons in new codex. But I only have 5 WG and the fragons are some of my favourite models. Will probably playtest this version, might change out dragons + falcon for more wraithguard + serpent later on.

Now min-maxing isn't very friendly, but I see your point.

Yes, have one serpent but weapons are changeable. Can go for SC upgrade. but like the bright lance.

Agreed, these rangers will probably achieve nothing and die easily. Wanting more guardians but couldn't fit in. Loosing rangers to bump up guardians.

Would EML be better for the guardians? Longer range and with BS4, shooting vehicles seems more viable than before..

Yes, WL has lots of weps, but also is a super durable war walker.. changing weapon composition to not waste BL shots against troops in updated list.
Only have 1 serpent, will test falcon out with laser lock and pulse laser which seems nice. Might swap for serpent later on as stated above.

Any lists in particular you see me having trouble against?
