I've got a tournament coming up in a couple weeks and I haven't been able to nail down what I want to use.
For sure I'm taking a suncannon wraithknight as warlord with iyanden, and I'd like to use an avatar as well.
I'm torn on wether I want to spam guardians, or just take dire avengers to fit in more wave serpents.

Wel an example list would be nice, also nice to know what you want to take also.

I would go for the dire avenger more wave serpents.... Generally better than guardian spam

Here is what I can do with the models I have
Far seer wih bike spear runs of anth
Warlock bike with spear
3 gjb with shuriken
3 6 man DA squads in wave serpent
Fire prism with holo
Avatar with cash shot and crushing blow
Wraithknight with suncannon

is that all the models you have?

There is no point taking 6 DA instead of 5, the whole point of them vs guardians is that it's cheaper to get a wave serpent.

That's my OCD kicking in, I could drop them to add goldfields to the wave serpents

Okay so here is what I have come up with
Farseer-ejb, shard, psyker artifact
Warlock- ejb, singin spear
Avatar- fast shot crushing blow
3x 5 dire avengers in wave serpent
3x GJB w/shuriken cannon
Fire prism holo field
Wraithknight suncannon scatter laser

Wraithknight is warlord with supplement rolls for iyanden trait
That and avatar draw fire from serpents whom either go for objectives or skit around dishing out shots.
Guardians with farseer and warlock yet around with seer casting spells unless he gets deathmission then he goes to challenge.
