I was thinking about playing daemons in the next tournament. I was going to try something like this:

Fateweaver - 300

No Dark Elder, Tau in my meta. Lots of elder, marines and Necrons though. Will it work?

I personally dont like kharnak and hounds. I think you need more scoring.

Drop the nurgle herald and give the grimoire to a prince.

I would also give a greater reward to each of the princes. Makes them much harder to kill. FNP etc is super awesome on them.

Fatweaver is awesome but I really like the regular LoC too. I think he is harder to kill and can go into combat mode too if needed. I know his save is worse but he is higher toughness and is still pretty boss. Either is ok though. He could even take the grimoire... basically so he never lands and gets blown out. Please are just going to target that heral/unit and kill him or he will be out of range to use the grimoire once the prince fly forward.

Yea two troop are not enough. I took the hounds because I like the idea of them and the demonettes flanking while the dp's go right down the middle. But dropping the hounds would give me like 20 more plaguebearers.

I am not a huge plague bearer fan really.

They do very little if any damage and really arnt that suvivable.

They are not bad but I prefer demonettes.

20 demonetters with the grimoire is pretty good. Rending and fast. Can keep up with the princes and put out alot of attacks. Running d6+3 is great for objectives and contesting. With fleet they can actually reach combat! A feat that is hard in 6th ed as CC is generally weaker than last ed.

Plagues cant run, and generally do little to no damage as when they get charged they die, even with poison.

I like the 2 plagues for staying in reserve then coming and landing on objectives. But for killing power the demonettes are good.

Ws5 and 3 attacks each on the charge. I5. Also the allures has 4 ap2 attacks for 61 attacks on the charge.

Second ICelord's comments - although I am not a fan of the FMC spam lists myself. Karanak really wants to run with Bloodcrushers - not Hounds - anyway and the Hounds want to be in a more horde style configuration.

If you do want to run hounds I would recommend also taking 18 Seekers (okay 20 is fine too, but 18 is so fluffy) and putting a Khorne Herald with the dogs. I like to add in another Fast Option too (Screamers/Fiends) to round it out but YMMV.
