Elite Tyranid Warrior

I am thinking about doing a thematic light mechanized recon unit. Also I want to avoid to many "rare weapons" fluff wise to show this is a run of the mill IG unit. It is going to be costly (cash wise) so I do not want to embark on it I it has little chance of being effective. Keep in mind I know very little about IG. No one in my area plays them and I have only played Tau and Tyranids.

HQ
2 Techpriest with meta bombs and servitor unit (each will be attached to a different vet squad)

Troop
4 Vets squads each with 1 flamer, meltagun and 1 grenade launcher, each mounted in a Chimera with extra armor and a heavy stubber

Fast Attack
2 Armored Sentinels with missiles and smoke launchers
2 Hellhounds with Multi Melta, extra armor and smoke
1 Bain Wolf with Multi Melta, extra armor and smoke
1 Devil Dog with Multi Melta, extra armor and smoke

Heavy
2 Hydras with extra armor

cost 1840/1850

The basic idea is that that Hellhounds will move up with the Chimera's behind them and the Bain Wolf and Devil Dog on the flanks . The unit move to objectives and as each reach an objective it leaves a chimera to hold it. The Vets are kitted out to be take all comers to hold a position.

Sentinels and Hyrdas hang back for air cover and tank hunt as needed.

The HQ repairs units as needed.

Could this work?

I also am considering a mechanized/amour division. I will post that one separately and will compare the feedback on both. Thanks in advance!
