Sigh. Even in an article about someone saying "I am a woman" they can't figure out that you shouldn't use male pronouns against someone's stated gender identity.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

If that's what she wants then it is really no big deal. It's not anything that is that uncommon, and I've taken care of quite a few veterans that identify with the other gender and have undergone hormone treatment and/or surgery.
