This mini is a very limited release from Wyrd- similar to their event minis, they also only sold this one to minions who work at promoting Malifaux officially.

I was very happy to have secured one (especially since I don't work for Wyrd). So I decided that it was a good idea to paint her up for this year's Gencon competition.

She took first single miniature for Wyrd.

I've posted her up to Coolmini for anyone who cares to vote.

Anyway, here are the pictures

Nice! Well done and congrats on securing a rare mini and a win! That dusty red looks great and so do her skin tones.

Wow she looks stunning, I wish I could paint skin tones that well.

Would you mind sharing the paints used for the skin tones? I'm always eager to better my painting skills.

I'm trying to remember the actual paints on the skin. I probably started with some combination of Midlund and Idrian Flesh (from P3). I probably shaded down with Skorn Red, Battledress green and just a hint of Reaper Burgandy Wine. I went up with Ryn Flesh and did the final highlighting using Menoth White Highlight.

The principle here is that the flesh uses a lot of complimentary colors. The top highlights are an off white yellow color, while the darkest areas have some purple in them, plus I went down using red and green. This is accentuated a little farther because I mixed complimentary colors on the magenta (that's magenta that is shaded in green). The mixed compliments creates an area of less interest, so that I can draw some attention to the skin areas.

I also uniformly did my final highlights using Menoth White highlight to keep the whole mini looking like it is lit by the same lighting.

She looks great! Really, this is one of the best minis I think I've ever seen you do! Really loving the color composition, as well as the mini itself. Great find, and phenomenal paint job!

I've just put her up on cool mini, so I'm adding a link to the original post.

They're a good line, so I don't hesitate to recommend them.

Wow, you definitely have pro skills.

A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next. There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor. - Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio
