Hi guys, I have already made similar post about a week ago but that was at holidays through my iPod so i didn't have time for details. But now i will do another post more focused and much more understandable.
So first of all i (for now) only paint models, do play 40k orks but again more collecting and painting for im really busy with my school. I chose ariadna caledonian highlander army because i liked the models and i like scotish culture history and country. I got the starter pack CHA. For now only prepearing to paint (did some work on the volunteers). But im really looking forward to my 150 list. For now i have only considered taking 5 volunteers, one with the HMG and others with some rifles, first question, is better taking a rifle on a volunteer for 8 pts or chain rifle and light shotgun for 6? I read its good to take volunteer lieutenant. I also heard something about five man squad or something like company of 5 volunteers. So i will take an order at my local store and i am considering which models will i take. I really like the Wulvers reg. but they'r quite expensive and worth so many points that i dont think they will be any good in 150 if i wanna run 5 man volunteer squad. If i order them it will mostly be bcs i like models. Remember i will spent maximum of 50 euros on the order. I also considered taking volunteer with a HMG and i found it usefull. I also like the scot guard model with the missle launcher but he's expensive too and in 150 i dont think i will get enemy vehicles to be destroyed. And my friend plays the YuJing and he doesn't like the T.A.G. models that much so he won't take any. So i also like the S.A.S and considered ordering one (i will have 2 then, one from the starter as well). So it is for now a 7 man army 5 volunteers and 2 S.A.S but i still have about 50 more points to spend. From the starter i have one wulver and grey rifles still unused, i read grey rifle is really expensive model, as is wulver. I like the highlander cateran model as well but i dont know if he'll be any good? What about William Wallace? there is also Uxia McNeill, don't know about her much heard she's S.A.S. and she would fit to the other 2 S.A.S. If i add her i will have only 25 points to spend as well? So for now i like the Wulvers reg box (4 models), the scot guard with missle launcher, the S.A.S. model, Uxia McNeill, William Wallace, the volunteers oufcorse, the highlander caterans, caledonian mormaers (the model is really expensive points) and i also like the Intel Spec ops. Dont know about him much but i like him. So i want to have a really strong 150 amry list that could give a great punch to YuJing. Pls help me make list from models listed up there and tell me what's the best to order. I also have question about traktor muls. Are they any good? Will they fit in my army when i expand to 300pts? im new so i dont know much about rules only read the basics but not further. I would like an army where i have rambo S.A.S. or other models if possible to do some infiltration while my volunteers and some big guys watch for their back, i also want a sniper or two on some roof to cover other soldier's backs. I know it's a lot i ask of you but pls help me. Ty for your time

A Highland Grey with an AP HMG is a boss, particularly in a link team. If you are looking for a second SAS option then the chain rifle/assault pistol is widely regarded as pure awesome.

So i have done a list myself and made 150 points.

So i have 5 volunteers, 3 of them chain rifle and light shotgun (6 points each), 1 of them with a HMG (worth 20 points) and one of them is the lieuteant worth 8 points.
I also have 2 highlander S.A.S. one of them is worth 27 points he has the boarding shotgun pistol, AP CCW, Other one has chain rifle grenades assault pistol and AP CCW he's worth 23 points. I also have Uxia McNeill worth 25 points in the list, she has so many stuff on her i will not post here and there are only 2 ways to build here (i have chosen the cheaper one for 25 pts instead of 27 coz it fits for 150pts), so final model would be a cateran sniper worth 29 points he has the T2 sniper rifle. So my tactic would be to have S.A.S. team do the infiltration work while the company of volunteers would be holding positions and clear the path for advances, while my cateran would be placed on a good spot and left there for the most of the game, he would do the most serious damage and kill the big guys while my friend would have to use many orders to destroy him. I don't know if this list would work but it's pretty hard punch to my enemy i think. So i already have 3 volunteers, need to order 2 more for the list which would in my store be 18 euros, i also need the S.A.S. which would be another 8 euros, McNeill would be same price, but cateran would cost me 14 euros in store, so total of 48 euros, if it is a good list i will buy it, if not pls advice me to the other list. This is quite expensive thoe, if i would order 4 wulvers (the box) and scot guard and volunteer, the S.A.S i would get much more models for actually same price but i need an army list that is strong now. I'm not 100% sure on which Wulver you mean for the second list, but there you go. I had no idea how to use those codes you gave so I just made the lists. Its easier for people to help out if you do that to be honest.

Personally I'm more a fan of the first one, because I'm quite a fan of the SAS models (and their uses), but some armies (aquila guard with HMG and stuff) will cause you significant pain because of their MSV2/3 visors (I forget) and what not, seeing straight through your camo. The second one is good too. You have a backbone of a link team, an orders hog with a gun to match (the Grey) and a Wulver for counterattacking, and the SAS for harassment. The more I think about it, the more I prefer the second list to the first.

Ok so i got mistaken about points on the second , now pls is there any better list with theme i wanna play, or is the first S.A.S. list with sniper cool because i like it and wanna run it. I can make and order taking volunteer HMG one model to represent the volunteer with the chain rifle, McNeill to lead my S.A.S. another S.A.S. mode, and final the Cateran sniper with T2 sniper rifle. I will be facing a YuJing force my friend will take some shang ji invincibles he says.

Ty motyak i didnt see your message and wrote answer before i saw your new message, i meant the wulver with t2 rifle the one from the starter, but got mistaken about the points, as far as you say about visors and seeing through camo, i dont know much about that i have to read the rules. I like the first one too better but I can easily buy models for the 1st one and then try the second list in next games bcs i have the models included in list from the starter

Well you can look at your models in terms of how often you'll use them at 300, which is the regular level.

So if you are thinking of running a camo heavy, SAS themed list at 300, I'd say go with list 1. If you are more likely to want a heavy hitting link team of Greys/Wulvers, then go for list 2. Honestly this game is as much about personal preference as anything else. Do you prefer painting balaclavas or kilts?

Well i will try lots of things in CHA so i'll order the first list units and probably even those for 2nd list bcs its not even that expensive in my store. How do i continue (which units) according for first S.A.S. List?
