Pfft just mix some debri into paint and slap it on.

Hour 1, apply thick pva/wood glue to base top and sprinkle sand
Hour 2 wait till dried
Hour 3 apply brown paint
hour 3.5 apply brown/black wash
hour 4 dry bush light brown
hour 4.5 seal with varnish
hour 5+ party hardy

(i like to leave models under a nice warm/hot lamp in between to dry faster.)

Textured paint if you get your hands on it, citadel have ones mixed with paint too.

I mix sand with brown acrylic and daub it on to make a muddy battlefield look. Glue on clump of grass if time allows.

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.
