Little background to start. I have not played 40k since probably 2nd or 3rd edition and wanted to get back into the hobby (Stopped by local GW store and got the itch). I'm hoping not to have to purchase too much (the new codex and rulebook already costed a fortune) to update my army but i do have quite a few figures from back in the day. I'm hoping to keep to keep enough figures to play fun but competative games ranging from 1000 to 2000 pt games then sell off the rest to start a new army. Here is my list for 1850 pts. Please let me know if the list looks decent to start 40k back up and what should i keep to upgrade to 2k pts.

Personally I would take an autarch with the Mantle for Banshee mask and more attacks and fusion gun

I think you mean the Nightspinner for the Heavy - I think this is good

I would take a fireprism as they are very good now

I would nix the War Walkers down to a 3 man squad and consider all scatterlasers If you have a farseer to guide them or you could do the SL and BL combo but it is not a favorite of mine

I like the warp spiders better than hawks but they are still viable - I think the Sunrifle really got nerfed this edition so I usually don't use it. I would not waste points on marksman's eye either - not worth what you get

If you want to nix the nightspinner you could take a wraithlord - but the wraithknight is better in my opinion - I think 2 brightlances, flamers +/- sword is a good way to kit them out as 2 BL does not TL them any more.

Yes, I meant the nightspinner, i knew night weaver didn't sound right.

I'm a little afraid of AV 14 without the lances on the walkers if i got all scatter laser. Do you think this would be an issue?
