My long time battle companion has been allying his Draigo deathstar into a Long Fang spam list recently. So far through my play mistakes, we have only drawn against each other. I hope to change that with more of a horde list, and less TMC psykers.

My goal here is to win with weight of numbers and board control. By avoiding pscyhic choir in this build, I minimize the devastation he can sow with mindstrike missiles and psych grenades (or whatever). His missiles will still be an issue, but hopefully I can keep my flyants in terrain to keep from losing them too easily.

Is there anything about this that screams awful? I'm aware of the nature of genestealers in this edition but I still can't resist bringing them out every once in a while.

Used notes and kept up with my tables and won handily. Purge the Alien: I brought 14 units, he brought 9. I tabled him and gave up two units. This list worked phenomenally and I could see it pulling similar victories against most any TAC list. It has so much utility and so many bodies.

To be honest i do not agree that this would take many TAC lists.
Your list is divided in 3 :
- Fast units (Flyrants and gargoyles)
- a bit of heavy support (the biovores)
- slow troops (all the rest).

If you face for instance a GK (not the most powerfull army anymore by quite a long shot)
For the first turn the enemy can focus only on the flyers (he has lots of time to deal with the rest)
Second turn he finishes your fast units (if needed) and starts on the troops while moving backwards.
He keeps moving backwards and firing.
You will finaly arrive with so little you will do not much.

I fought the same kind of lists (50 genestealers, 30 devilgaunts, 2 flyrants, some zoans and 3 carnifexes) with my GK and DA allies, one unit of gaunts managed to arrive to CC and thats all.
We lost 4 SM in the game.
Then he changed his list for a MC spam (2 Flyrants, 3 Trygons, 3 Tervigons with devilgaunts), i sweated a lot more and i think this list is a lot better (except maybe against DK who own Tyranids MC ^^)
