Hello all
I'm a big fan of kit bashing and converting 40k/WHFB models, and was wondering which kits are good for kit bashing?
Please feel free to let me know of cool stuff you've done / thought of doing with the kits.
Could I ask everyone to mark the suggestions with a big model / small model title at the top?
Thanks
-TG

Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS.

I tend to buy two or more kits at once and I always end up borrowing bits from each of the kits.
Like Imperial Guard shock troopers and the Command Squad or Ork Boyz and Lootas (Though this one didn't have as many fun bits as I had hoped)

My favorite so far must be the Skullcrushers of Khorne, as I am a big fan of khorne I used the spare bits to "khorinfy" some of the high ranking models.
Its funny what a single helmet can do for a model!

As for a big and fun kit, Leman Russ tank, Battlewagon and a Deff dread, you can do a lot of fun with that.

For smaller kits, you really can't go wrong with a SM captain, command squad and tactical squad. Those can do some epic sternguard/vanguard veteran conversions, or create some awesome HQs. So many combinations.

The DA vet and Deathwing kits, and the BA death co/Sanguinary guard are pretty good too, some really flavourful bits on there.

I like using DA vetrin and terminator bits to kitbash GK inquisitors. I also used a DA Terminator Knights head for a GK Grand Master.

There's this huge thread about people showing their best conversion work. It's got a lot of kit bash stuff there. Check it out.
