After watching a video where two people who do posh british accents as a trademark of their channel (Gamechap is you must know) they were talking about the latest minecraft news that Notch/Jeb (cannot remember which one they said in the video) annouced that minecraft would be coming to PS3,PS4 and PS VITA soon.

So yay OR Nay?

Why would Minecraft being available on more platforms ever be a bad thing. This is just another reason for me to pick up a PS4.

Yay - it means they are more likely to spend the profits from porting it to ps4 to develop the game for longer on all platforms especially pc. I never have to buy it but I would benefit from it in the long run.
The fact that it is being built on a x86 architecture on the ps4 will also mean it will be easy for Mojang to port the updates across from pc to console as well.

Good, I guess. My main concern is that the ports generally aren't all that good. For one thing, they miss out things that would be quite easy to place in (texture packs, maps) and generally the controls are awful...

If they pull it off right, I feel I might get it on my Vita.

If not, they're ignoring one of the big selling point vs Xbox and PC (portable and home gaming).

I'd be interested. I've only been able to play it when I hang out with friends since I don't have a gaming PC of my own (yet). My only two questions:

1.) Will it have survival mode?

2.) Will there be some kind of multiplayer?
