Okay, here goes, this is part of my fleet, cower before it blah blah blah, not sure what the point of it all is.

What I've got is a starter, a Falcon, two extra Tie blisters and one extra X-Wing blister, thousand pardons for not unpacking everything, but it am late and I am le tired.

edit.

I don't mean to come across as snide, just a bit puzzled. There are peeps out there with bigger fleets and more models than I ever will own or see.

Any way we can prevent Tom from seeing this thread? I bet he'll put us all to shame. I'll post mine as soon as I can.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Yeah, I would consider myself to have a respectable collection (especially for having only been collecting for a few weeks), but I'm sure it's what Tom would consider a good starter set.

At the risk of being on BrookM's hate/priority-to-rob list:

The brave men and women of the Imperial Navy escorting a distinguished guest to the presence of Lord Vader to discuss plans to successfully capture Rebel criminals so that they can stand a fair trial and face justice.
Spoiler:

And here in a pict-capture obtained at great cost we see a strike group of Rebel terrorist scum returning from a mission to destroy a space station that was housing war orphans and other victims of their atrocities. No doubt they are on their way to carry out more scummy and rebellious terrorist acts.
Spoiler:

Why yes I do prefer the Imperials, however would you have guessed?

Wow, Krinsath! That imperial fleet looks amazing

Makes it more realistic, too... the rebels should be outnumbered with the odds stacked against them.

Since I haven't even been collecting for a month yet, I consider myself extremely fortunate to lay hands on that many ships. I timed it just right to catch the local store restocks I think, and one of the B&N actually had X-Wings so I even have Wedge! Stores in my area are fairly depleted on expansions now though....mysteriously. We may never know what happened there.

When Wave 3 hits, I plan on adding 3 Bombers, a shuttle and 2 B-Wings (undecided on the Crow, but will probably get one due to collector obsession). Technically, I have another starter set that I bought because I suspect a friend of mine would really like it. If they don't though, I suppose I could find a home for those ships and would have a full squadron of TIE/Lns at that point.

After looking at the picture of the Rebels though I'm kicking myself for missing the opportunity to line the Y-Wings and A-Wing up abreast in opposite directions so that they spelled "YAY" on either side of the formation.

Here are my fleets, I've been playing for maybe 3 weeks

The stalwart rebels desperately trying to break the Imperial blockade around my dining room table and safely escort a Corvette killed with civilians to safety

The tireless Imperials attempt to crush the escaping rebels and hopefully land shuttles of storm troopers to take prisoners...all while a merc floats in the background looking for high value targets

I may not play X-wing, but I do like me some Star Wars (Ya don't say? Wasn't the avatar a hint enough?), but that one rebel vehicle I do not recognize. Those larger, reddish ones shaped vaguely like K-wings?

I appreciate it too; buying one for Jin at GenCon was my first exposure to it! If it wasn't in the "Rogue Squadron" books or the movies, it's new to me

It is the first EU ship in the game, and still the only one even after the 3.5 reveal. However, it does bode pretty well for possibilities now that the OT movies have essentially been tapped.

So what's the deal with that Trek game? Similar play to X-Wing? My fleet is puny compared to most of yours. 5 X-Wings, 2 Ys, 5 Ties, 1 Advanced, Boba and Han.

I agree with Dr. Manchu. That make-up can field a goodly number of lists and I'd really only add a few ships from the existing waves for play, namely 2 T/I and maybe an A-Wing. I'm sure the reason those ships are absent isn't a lack of trying though.

The posts everywhere about "Oh you can't find this or that" was part of what fueled my ship-buying binge. The other part was a youth spent playing the hell out of the X-Wing series of video games.
