My favourite part of the hobby would have to be the people at my FLGS as they have really helped me with a lot of my models and how I should design them and hooked me up with extra bitz it I need them and I am really grateful for that they also tell me about tactics and things and are always up for a game.

Also another part of it is that I try to put myself in the battle and imagine everything going on around me and I LOVE IT!!!

so I was wondering what is everyone else's favourite part of the hobby Dakkanauts

The lore. And the game. And the modeling two. The painting is also quite enjoyable. Shoot, everything but the prices

when the collecting, modelling, painting and gaming all come into one bundle. Then it feels like a great hobby, regardless of the price tags.

Modelling, then painting, then lore, then gaming.

That said, since I absolutely love playing, you can imagine how much I enjoy the former three aspects of the hobby.

I love the gaming and fluff side closely followed by modelling and then painting. I hate fielding an unpainted army though.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

I love the fluff, and the actually playing of the game. Modeling although fun is not my top priority and painting is a headache for me.

I agree with the above poster though, I hate fielding unpainted armies.

The gaming then the fluff by a wide margin.

Sitting down with friends and rolling dice. Physically moving around figures, measuring, adding tokens, checking stats, etc. is all fun too. The tactile and social elements really make tabletop gaming shine for me.
