I'm posting this here because this is the closest thing to a meta board.

The user Bloodreaper has been constantly attacking, trolling, and vandalizing websites that I manage as well as websites run by people I know. He's also the only user from this website who has been trolling Sturmkrieg and other websites that we host for other people. He's also the only user period who has trolled Sturmkrieg. He has a long history of trolling various websites and persistently harassing other writers at Sturmkrieg. He recently thought it would be funny to send harassing messages in the report content form. In addition to his semi coherent list of attacks, he called me a Nazi, which I am not going to take. I am two degrees away from many people who were murdered by the Nazis, and it should be obvious that anyone with an extraordinary hatred of Nazis has some sort of personal connection. It doesn't make you look clever or ironic to call people who hate Nazis, Nazis; it just makes you look like a who thinks it's funny to trivialize what is in many cases a personal tragedy. This has been a constant problem. He has also been trolling Sturmkrieg again today as well.

Not to be insensitive to this issue which you obviously feel strongly about, but how do you know that one user on this forum is the same user who is causing you so much hassle? Furthermore, what do you want DakkaDakka to do? Looking at the posts made by "blood reaper", they seem very normal with nothing that screams "troll". You can't have someone banned from every forum on the internet because you suspect they are hassling you.

Also, why don't you just ban his IP number from those websites? (This is me assuming such a thing is possible, I have 0 computer skillz). Dakka isn't responsible for what its members get up to off of the forum.

As iranna said, bloodreaper's posts on dakka seem to be...normal. What leads you to believe he is the one trolling SK?

He recently admitted to the attack on one of the websites I host for a friend and his posts here at the time of the attack in reference to it also suggest that. I implemented IP bans and proxy blocking mechanisms for the owner of that website when he attacked. It is possible to block specific IP addresses, but they change regularly.

And even if they were the same person if they haven’t broken any rules while on dakka then what are the mods here supposed to do about it?

I sent an email to the administrator a long time ago with his IP address and email address. They would have been able to compare that with his account here. I don't expect them to confirm the match, but they'd be able to tell that it's the same user.

I realize that there's not a whole lot that can be done. Maybe giving him more room to be open if he sends me a message here or sth like that would make him more likely to deal with his issues productively here rather than troll other websites. It's not constant, but occasionally he's seemed like he's had a point that he's trying to make.

How exactly, do you know it's the same guy?

Also, Blood Reaper's last post here was on 2013/05/07. Hasn't posted since.

Provide proof of these attacks if you want anything done, obviously to any moderator if they do decide to help out. But, I doubt the mods here would do anything about it if it did not specifically happen on Dakka. They've got enough problems to deal with around here without having to help babysit other sites as well.

The outrage you show when he called you something like that, perhaps he feels the same way towards you and has misunderstood. Cause you've given that impression to a few other members here at times from what I've seen.

I am unfamiliar with how it works in the US, but in Germany, you're able to sue the user. We had a similar issue and first contaced the ISP on our own, telling him about his behavior, sending proof along, called the ISP, talked a bit, then went to our lawyer and he sent an official letter to him. Never heard of the user again

1) Dakka has rules that govern Dakka, much like how you were able to post a story in German on another site and then post a link to it doesn't violate the, "English only" rule, Bloodreaper's actions on other sites don't violate rule 1 as long as he remains polite on Dakka
2) Even if this was the same person, what do you expect Dakka to do? Ban him from a website he's followed the rules on?

Not that this has been the majority of his behavior, but he has engaged in trolling here in relation. He started trying to get people here to take notice of the vandalism he did at the Stardust Empire wiki.

We currently have only your word. Provide some solid proof before asking that anything be done.

Then why didn't you report it? Also, what proof do you have it was him? Also, even if he did draw attention to his actions, that isn't trolling here. In fact, in the thread in question, you ask him and other users if you should revise the edits. You didn't seem so annoyed then, when you first saw it.

Also, some basic advice.

Don't feed the trolls.

Making topics like this, isn't going to help your problem, espically when it's not the website in question.

You already know this, but I'll post it again - the ONLY appropriate response to particular posts on Dakka you feel may violate Dakka's rules is to his the yellow "Alert Moderator" button on the post.

If there is a particular user you have problems with, you should make use of the handy "Ignore" feature.

Dakka is not responsible for behavior outside of Dakka, even of people who happen to also be users here.
