So, I just read a battle report to which one person commented that:

1) Perfect timing would not benefit Flickering Fires of Tzeentch,

Now, it seems to me the Perfect Timing would still give FF Ignores Cover, since the BRB states that witchfires are treated as an assault weapon, but I will acknowledge that this is kinduva grey area...

Your thoughts on all this?

**edit: read through the FAQ and had part of question answered. Deleted said question from post.

Don't know on the first one, but I would also assume it would let FF ignore cover.

There is definitely no psychic shooting on overwatch. From the BRB FAQ:
Q: Can psychic shooting attacks be fired as Snap Shots (assuming
that the Psyker has enough Warp Charge available and requires a
roll to hit)? (p13)
A: Yes, but only in your own Shooting phase. This means that
psychic shooting attacks cannot be made when firing
Overwatch.

Eldar shenanigans are the best shenanigans!

It's not really a snap shot weapon.

You count as firing a assault weapon, so would cover saves be ignored by "your weapon"?, Yes.

See, that's what I thought. I don't know if the guy in question was just being a jerk, but he was arguing vociferously against the Ignores cover witchfires.
