While outfitting my Chaos Lord, I decided to make his combat familiar on a seperate base, so it could be equipped/unequipped as necessary, and I realized there were nigh-infinite possibilities on how to represent such an addition.

Thusly and therefore: Dakka, what are your personal favorite combat familiars, either existing models or just cool ideas you have.

Carry on.

War Kitten- Nothing evens the odds like a reaper chainsword to the naughty bits
Sgt. Vanden- And now I'm a whale with panties. Can't see how this day can get any better.

I use the Epic-scale Magnus the Red as my Spell Familiar. For a Combat Familiar, I could see doing the same thing with Epic Fulgrim, Angron, or Mortarian...or any of the Epic Greater Daemons.

The little suit of armor with the sword from the Famous Familiars collection. (And the walking book for a spell familiar).

8000 points of XI Legion the Space Vagabonds, they can adapt their tactics to represent any and every Legion and Chapter as needed because they were created by the Emperor to be the ultimate tactical power. They have faked their disappearance in order to infiltrate every part of the conflicts in the galaxy.

8000 points of Tau/Craftworld Eldar/Necron because the Space Vagabonds can also emulate their wargear and tactics.

Victories: ALL
Losses: NONE (My armies have the psychic ability to conjure a cataclysmic storm whenever they are about to lose. This allows the Space Vagabonds to teleport away while releasing power waves that destroys the battlefield and so every battle is a victory)

My plan was to magnetise bases and familiars (Nurglings, scarabs from tomb kings, spiders from goblins? scorpions from somewhere, little impy things from wood elves etc) so I could add them to the bases or shoulders etc. when necessary. I like magnetising options though ; p
