My previous list, unfortunately, had some hiccups with simply being legal (I'm new to this, see). After trying to fix things up, I still had one or two more wrinkles to smooth out.
So, here is a 1500 point legal guard list. My opponent (playing Necrons) and I opted to try fluffier armies and experiment with less used units. The mission will probably be the Scouring unless we opt to let the dice decide.


Total: 1500

My general strategy is to try to flush infantry in cover out with the colossus and hellhound, use the blob against advancing squads, and use Creed to pop the ogryns into their rear lines. Please let me know how you think this would fare against a Necron list.

i like your use of non traditional units but the one thing that pops out to me about your list is the lack of heavy weapon,which could cause you some trouble until you get up close and personal with those flamers..

Thanks for the input. There shouldn't be too many vehicles to deal with, but I hope power weapons, melta, and the medusa can deal with the 2+ armor on his royal court I otherwise struggle to even dent.
