So far in Warhammer, my only army has been IG, and I've only played it as Vets in chimeras with tanks. Gettin' a little bored of this, and decided I want to try out building blob army lists. Whether it be gunline, or foot guard, I'd just like to have a mass of my soldiers on the field. Seeing as I have no experience in these types of lists, I wanted to ask for some help. Providing a list of what I have, I'd like some advice on where I could go with it in a 1250 point game.

Note, I don't really want fliers in any of the list as a personal preference. Also, I only play casual games, so no worries on it being competitive. I'm just looking for something functional, and fun!

Troops:
37x Guardsmen
6x Sergeants
8x Meltagunners
4x Flamers(can count as H.Flamers)
3x Plasma Gunners
4x Vox Troopers
1x Sniper
1x GL
1x Missile Launcher (Last chancer)

HWTs:
4x Lascannons
1x H. Bolter
1x Missile Launcher
1x Autocannon
1x (still on sprue)

Characters:
2x Company Commanders
1x Commissar (last chancer count as)

1x Harker (last chancer count as)

1x Executioner (is magnitized so it can also be punisher or demolisher)

Since I play casual games, people let my Last Chancers count as the models, because they look enough like them.

Like any footguard list nowadays, it's going to be two turns of hammering stuff with lascannons, et. al, and then advancing forward with the infantry, hoping you've killed enough.

All you'd need is someone to stand in for the master of ordnance, and something to proxy the standard. Standards are practically mandatory for footguard at the moment, so I'd look into getting or making one if you're serious about footguard.

Cool, I can't' wait to try this list out. Any advice on what models I would benefit from buying for higher level footguard? Right now I'm eying a manticore. I figure footguard benefits from artiliary and a lot of bodies.

More of what you have. Getting complicated with guard armies is a quick way to not getting what you want.

Put another way, everything in your list should be good enough to bring more of, and everything not good enough to bring more of shouldn't be in your list in the first place.
