Are there any?
They were once a legion and to have only the SW and Wolf Brothers would mean that there were several thousand Marines left unaccounted for.

Only one, and it ended in failure and tragedy. The Canis Helix inherent in the geneseed of the Space Wolves only works in those from their homeworld of Fenris, which does not have the population to support more than the Space Wolves.

Yes - one. The Wolf Brothers turned into degenerates, IIRC - it's in Battle of the Fang. The chief apothecary was really close to fixing the problem though, which is evidently partly why Magnus left the Eye to romp around through Fenrisian space - to stop this experiment from working.

So if I created a Cursed Founding Chapter of Space Wolves, it would go down about as well as an Italian man sleeping with the fishes in cement shoes?

Due to the unstable nature of the SW gene-seed, they only ever had one successor (The Wolf Brothers, 2nd founding) and it didn't end well, they suffered from severe mutation and instability.
However, there is nothing stopping you from making a successor from another legion that fights in the same way and has a close affiinity to wolves. That allows you a little more creative freedom but without contradicting current fluff. Alternatively, if it is the fact all 12 companies have estabilshed fluff, those are only the lineup as of 999 M41, so you have 10,000 years of unexplored history to play around with. For instance, my own Great Company are from around M33, and still use the pre-heresy scheme and have their own fluff. If anyone complains (and no one has), I would just say they were lost in the warp for 7,000 years.
Hope that helps.

That goes down really well, actually - TOO well. Which I'm sure is not where you were headed with that comparison, but there ya go. It being Cursed Founding, you've already set it up to have something go horribly wrong with it, so it's perfectly within reason that such a Chapter could exist but then be covered up.

Maybe not a direct Cursed Founding Chapter, but maybe something like what the Sons of Antaeus or the Minotaurs are rumored to be - created by the HLoT from stock geneseed from back before the Heresy.

It would work well as a Renegade/Outcast/Chaos Marine Chapter... something on par with the Soul-Drinkers... but not in the sense that anyone in the Imperium is going to hang out with, help, or even speak to a bunch of freaks like that.

That's brilliant.
Cheers guys.
I just didn't want to have yet another Space Wolf Army.
I wanted to go with something else from the Canis species.
Definitely helped me out.
Thanks.
