while digging through an inherited bitz box (a friend said "I'm out!" and handed me a rather large tub o bitz) i dug up enough parts to make this lysander model. I needed a good excuse to try yellow on a space marine, and this is the perfect one! Let me know what you think! The yellows (in my opinion) are mostly done, just need to youch up the other things like purity seals, the rope and robes as well as finishing the hammer.

Yellow looks good enough, maybe hit it with a dark brown wash right in the recesses to make the lines pop a tad more. Other than that, good stuff.

here is a continuation of the same Lysander model, brought in some paint chipping effects that I had seen on a couple of different videos, let me know what you think!

A bit busy, for my tastes. The model has so much bling sculpted on that visual crowding is a danger, even without additional painted effects. As it is, I can barely make out its lines. The issue may have been compounded by the photography (depth of field seems a little off), admittedly, but I think finer, sparser chipping (and freehand/text, if that's what's on the shoulder pads - hard to tell, honestly) might have served better.

Yeah, my friend was a lazy painter/ modeler with cash to blow. That's not all I found in his bitz box, either
