Hey Dakka, here's a couple of tidbits that I finished over the summer. I apologize in advance for the image quality. I plan to take better photos once I get more stuff painted up.

First off, the ruin:

I built this as part of my attempt to get some half-way decent terrain pieces for my home table. All in all, it's cost me about $60-$110 for supplies (had to make multiple runs to get spray that didn't melt foam), but I've been able to make over a dozen terrain pieces, including two ruins, two large LOS-blocking walls, a pool of goo, and a few hills & area terrain pieces. On top of that, I've still got unused material waiting to be cut and assembled, so I feel like it's been a pretty good investment. Anyway, this is the only large piece I've fully painted as yet; I'll post the smaller ones when I've finished more of them.

The walls are just styrofoam (melted by spray) and based in black, with a two-tone gray drybrush over it.

This other guy here is just another GK I managed to finish in-between video-game binges. I've been really slow to paint recently and I'm hoping that I can pick up the pace so I can move on to my GK Terminators and special characters, but so far I'm still slogging slowly through a bunch of samey PAGK (to think, I really enjoyed building these guys! ).

The hood and robe bits are from the DA Upgrade Sprue (like the rest of my GKs).

You can see more stuff in my gallery! Please stop by and leave a rating or comment with your thoughts. Thanks!

What bit did you use for the round drummag, rather than the boxmag?

I have a bunch of the old AoBR Ork boyz & nobz, some of which have drum-mags on their guns (or belts). I basically ended up chopping a bunch of them up to get at the drums since I didn't want to wait to buy some (although there are several bitz manufacturers that make nicer versions).

That sword looks nice! What's the technique? It doesn't look spray painted to me so im curious :I

Blended by hand using 3 colors (don't remember which; I only have the old names). Each color was mixed 1:1:1 with Liquitex Slow-Dri and Water, allowing it to be blended. After that it was just going back and forth to get the blending nice. It takes me about an hour per side of the sword, so it's not really preferable to airbrushing, but I don't have the time or funds to get a whole airbrushing setup (at least not yet).
